Product Description
321 stainless steel tubes contain at least five times the titanium content as carbon to overcome the tendency to sensitize during welding. The corrosion resistance of 321 stainless steel is similar to that of 304 stainless steel, but 321 stainless steel performs better in the sensitization range of 800℉-1650℉. In 321 stainless steel, titanium oxides or carbonitrides may form tiny black or dark gray inclusions. When the metal is ground or polished, these inclusions may appear and spoil the surface appearance, but do not impair the metal’s utility or machinability, and are beneficial for wear resistance.
